Default disco 2

hi guys having mega probs with my disco.thought it was the xyz switch took off cleaned and re routed the ac pipe, lites did come back on m+s but cleared,when it plays up have ac and tc plus air lite,when i drove it tonite there was smoke coing from my drivers console any help would be great

Look for grounding problem with ebrake. Check under hood for good bond from (-) battery to chassis. You'll need to open console. Moved your post from the ECU manual reference post.

And better describe what was happening, mega problems, as you called them, doesn't tell us much to help you.

If ground from battery to frame and or block is messed up, the system will push amps through the ebrake cable, and it will get hot. The last thing any Rover owner wants is an electrical fire, unless full coverage insurance is paid up....

took out centre console and the smoke was coming from the pop riveted plate at the front of the gear shift took enginge cover off and i have got an oil leak which is going onto my transfer box could this be the smoke? when box warms up? looks like rocker cover gasket has a weep but lot of oil on transfer box, cleaned sensor by rear of rocker cover no smoke now but air sespension lite comes on now and again thanks guy for your replys
