Default Disco 2 acting up

So recently i bought a 04 disco 2 and ever since i have been trying to fix this window washer issue. But out of nowhere my wipers stopped working and they where stuck in the up position. I dont know how or why only thing i was doing is checking the relay in the engine bay for the fluid pumps.

Now i have tried many things to see where the problem may lay. I checked all the fuses i know of they were still good im talking about the F19 fuse. I checked the wiper motor itself took it apart and tested it. It was still turning as far is i know electrics. Now recently i took the switch out at the steering column and cleaned it up inside. All the copper contacts are cleaned and lubed again using conducting lube. Now im still stuk with the problem.. is there any other things i can do im losing hope tbh.

Any help would be appreciated
Kind regards
Bjorn

You definitely hit all the high points and what I would have done. My money was going to be on taking the switch out and doing what you did.

I guess I’d go back to the switch and revisit connections there as I can’t think of anything else. Unless the motor has tanked…

Are you getting power to the wiper motor when you turn switch using a test light?

nope so maybe the switch is faulty ??
Or could it be a cable that gave up over the years or a mass problem... Bc its just weird that they stopped out of no where.
