Default Disco 2 door lock question

My lock button on my fob broke so now I can't lock it via the fob
if I press the lock button on the inside of the disco it will lock but only if the drivers door is closed. Meaning I would need to press button from the passenger side to lock it
anyone know if this can be changed or reprogrammed

Huh? Which button are you pushing: the one on the door, or the one on the dash?

If the drivers door isn’t closed, that’s a euro car thing to keep you from locking your keys in the car. Use the key in the drivers door to lock all of them. Be careful not to do the super lock.

The one on the dash. I guess I could lock it with the key

If you want it locked from the outside, and your fob is toast, you ain’t got much choice.

If the circuit board inside the fob case is still in good condition, eBay is full of replacement fob cases for a few dollars.

You can also buy a fob repair kit that has new smd buttons to solder on too.

I dropped one of the keys one too many times and just soldered the original button back on. Been working for 6 months like that. And I agree, you can get a new case pretty easy and there are YouTube videos on how to swap.
