Lightbulb Disco 2 driver's seat - possible solution?

Hi All,
6'4", Took out my drivers seat today to figure out how to make a bit more room. After some thought I believe I have a solution. Where the spindles move through the fixed mounts midway add two more about 2"-3" further back and relocate the fixed mounts there?
Originally thought about cutting the seat frame horizontally, shifting back and adding plates, however the side towards the transmission is much shorter in height so I would need to add extensions.
Not wanting to compromise the structural integrity of the seat, I will avoid a plethora of issues down the road.
Thinking I may be overlooking something as this seems almost too easy.
Pics below, appreciate the input .

Thank you, perfect!
I can't envision being able to do what he did without removing the seat.
I'll look to get those metal pieces made asap and give it a go!

I’m 6’7” and remember reading about this some time back. Added to the list of things to do at some point…

I finally got around to talking with a shop around the corner.
I shortened the on center holes to 5" instead of 7.75" based on what I read in the thread Mntnceguy shared about it being a bit too long.
I'll post some pictures when I attach them to the seats.
Passenger seat will be the guinea pig.

Please do share as I think this might be something that will get bumped up on the list. Make sure to include dimensions as I only need a a few more inches for it to be perfect.

Ok, you do not need to take the seats out though you will need to remove all four bolts so that you can tilt the seat back to get at the #8 hex head bolt.I did not pop out the drivers side back of seat metal stops, a couple guys who initially looked at it did.Was going to do the same on the passenger but I haven't popped out the metal stops at the back of the rail slide. Move the seat forward first and pop/ weld these out. Literally at the end of the metal channel sitting on top. There is an identical metal stop in the front as well, 6th pic down.. A hammer and a flathead screwdriver will probably do the trick.
Originally I went with 5" on center holes and a 7" long piece. Too short, not enough difference from stock.
Made 4 more with OP's dimensions.see below. Though pissed I made them with the holes 7" instead of 7.75" on center.
Stock passenger side your about two inches back from the cupholder, pic below.
Drivers side with the 7" on center holes you get about another three, pic below.
Having gotten into the seat again before posting I will be making 4 more, at 10" with holes 8.75 on center. Why you may ask, simply personal preference.
Also do not tighten the connection in front too much as you will easily bend the fabricated piece.
Hope this helps.
