Default Disco 2 Tow Hitch install?

Got a Curt Tow Hitch at "Pull-A-Part" yesterday. The two (2) bolts next to the insert are very tight and still have a gap. These are the two bolts that go into the rear bumper. They are tight but not fully seating into frame. The bolts are the same as pulled from the donor Disco 2. The bolts appear to have had loctite on them. Anyone have comments or instructions on a tow hitch install. I will see if I can take pictures.

Got the tow hitch for $28 bucks.

Did you clean/wire brush all the old thread lock out of the bolt threads?
Are the threaded bolt holes clean?

In case you don't have the basic install sheet from Curt

Thanks guys. There is some thread lock on the bolt. I sprayed WD40 in the hole and even sprayed high pressure water in the hole to flush out. I did not try the wire brush. I will try when home.

Default Fixed tow hitch

Thanks again. Swapped bolts, one was cross threaded from all the tries to mount. Had lots of grime in hole. Had more thread lock than perceived. Got hitch mounted and snug.

Lesson learned. Don't not get in a hurry when you need to do it right (the first time).

Cheers
