i was looking forward to buy aTow Hitch Receiverfor my lr3, the thing is that the assembly costs almost 400 dollars, and it dosent even brings the trailer hitch.. Does anyone knows were can i buy both of these cheap!! AFTERMARKT!! ..

I got mine on ebay. I have also seen them on craigslist. Make for sure they come with the keys. It will not work w/o the key

 

the best price I've seen, aside from eBay is Rover City...I believe they are about $325

 

if you have an hse check to see if it's on one of the compartments on the rear, i orderdered mine and when i was trying to connect the wiring i found that i already had a brand new hitch receiver from the factory. I bought mine from dealerfit.com, great service They refunded my money when i returned the part.

 

I just recieved a quote from a dealer for $800 for the tow package. Is this a good price? If not , where do you suggest I look. Thanks guys

 

Not a good price.
Buy a hitch and wireing harness from someone like Atlantic British and install it your self.

 

I went to rover.com and all i could see for the LR3 was the quick connect trailer hitch. Is that all i need or do I have to install something else as well. Thanks for your help

 

its imposible that theres no aftermark hitch reciver!!! it cant be true!!!

 

My girlfriend has a 2006 LR3 and I need to put a hitch/receiver on this to pull my 25ft boat. I am afraid that the Quick Release Hitch is not suitable for this is there anywhere in the U.S. where you can get this besides going to the dealer and paying a high price premimum? Thanks J

 

JMMN, I have a 26ft ski-boat that weighs 2800lbs dry. I pull it all over the state in the summer, and have never had any problems with the quick release hitch.
