The discovery 2 wont shift out of park but the car starts up and all the electrics work need help on what this could be. was told it was a sensor but don't know for sure.

If the rear window heater and 3rd brake light wires touch you
will blow a fuse to the brake lights, check this.
It could be the brake light switch.
Just make sure that you have brake lights if you dont this is it.

No it's fixed turns out it was a faulty sensor with the brakes not releasing the shift to move out of park Land rover fixed it for 40 bucks. Thanks for asking Landzu.

I'am glad it was a cheap fix (for LR).
I would like to know more, as a lot of the places I
travel have no one that can or will work on a LR.
I may need to add that part to my part bend.
Thanks Mike
