Is it possible to replace the disco 2 chassis with a disco 1 chassis? Is the chassis on the disco 2 identical to the chassis installed on the disco 1?

If so then I would like to keep the chassis from my 98 disco parts truck, get it galvanized and swapped into a disco 2 (when i get it). What do you guys think? Presumably the price for getting this done would be pretty high, unless I managed to do it myself. Alternatively I could simply keep up with routine under-body wax undercoatings to prevent rust, corrosion, breakage of the chassis but I'm looking to add alot of life to the disco 2 (when i get it).

I'm open to any other ideas as well. Keep in mind that I live in New Hampshire (on the border with Canada) We get **** tons of rain, snow, ice, salt and we live close to the mountains so any added "preventative maintenance" would be good I think.
