It's "once in a while", btw.

Have you downloaded and read the user's manual?

Grammar ****... He's from Malaysia.

Are there any lights illuminated on your dash Desmd99? Have you had work done to your airbag suspension in the rear end lately?

Basic troubleshooting would require one to know whether the ping is happening with or without the safety belt being properly engaged.

Anyone so inclined to ask the whole world wide web to provide a solution to their problem should provide every detail possible before expecting others to offer a proper diagnosis.

Welcome aboard.

As said by others above (albeit in a rather unfriendly way) you need to provide details of the faults so that people can help.

Does the ping always happen?
Does your vehicle have air suspension (SLS)?
If it has coil suspension, did it formerly have SLS (has it been removed)?
Do you get warning lights on the dash?
Anything else you can think off

hat ping sound normally only happens if the ABS is acting up or the t/case is not totally engaged.
Any warning lights on the dash when this happens?

this is what I have on my dashboard, took it to LR service center, I was told Slabs ECU needs replacement, cost lots of money!! another option, LR service center suggest me to change my air springs to coil springs, reset the slabs to NOT using air spring, then only the dash lights will be gone.
I DO NOT want to do that... because air springs ride REALLY comfort~. I decided to do a little "engineer" thing, I manually run the air compressor, increase the air spring to height I wanted. Then, I disconnect all power plugs that connects to air compressor box, including solenoid valve.

I got the PING noise after I did above steps.

You can put a used slabs ecu in. They go for maybe $50 in the US, maybe more or less depending on if it's the more desirable MY2004 version.

Can be configured with nanocom, hawkeye, or just about any land rover specific scan tool.

Why do they say it needs replaced? What fault codes are stored in the slabs?
