I asked this question on the LR3 Forum and didn't get a response, so I'll ask it here.

Does anybody know if Ford is responsible for the LR3 body style?

The reason I ask, is that my first SUV was an '83 Ford Bronco II. IMHO, the LR3 looks like a sleeker version of my old BII.

 

I believe so. I can say that BMW did not design the LR3. Also, the 2006 Range Rover will switch from the BMW chassis and engine to A LR3 platform and Jaguar/Ford engine and drive train. Evidently, Ford wants nothing to do with BMW.

 

It will sell because it's a LR, but I just feel like they've taken the character out of the design of the truck's appearance.
