Default Disco II CDL!!! (2004 - 54 plate)

Hello,

I am a new member to this forum and am trying to figure something out and could do with some help and this seemed the best place to come.

Anyway, I would like to know if the latest D2's came with CDL's as standard/optional extra, if the spigot is there once more on the transmission box as the 01's-03's I believe did not have them. Also if the spigot is missing can I fit a CDL relatively easily? I am sure there is another thread like this floating around somewhere but I need to know specifically the latest D2 and their capabilities.

Thanks in advance,
Mike

I think an easier way of putting it would be as follows:

Does the late 04 disco have CDL as standard and if not is the spigot to attach the lever there once again as it was on the pre face lift models? I think that makes it easier to understand what I am trying to find out.

If you are talking about the 'latest D2' which is a 04', cdl came standard on that year. 99-03' did not have them standard.

Yes the 2004 '54 plate. So that will have the CDL without the need to convert with a kit?

Things are a little different in the UK, so I won't make you any promises, but in North America, all the 04's have CDL, with nothing needed to add. I've heard that in the UK and rest of world that even the 03's have CDL.

Ok thanks for the replies people. Just was a little concerned at a land rover with no cdl. Seems silly to me. The thing that confused me was the amount of different things I have heard on the internet. Some say yes, some say no, some say maybe and some say it's pot luck lol. Suppose I will find out when my Disco comes. Can't wait!!!
