Thats what I thought you meant but just wanted to clarify. Or stall, whichever you want to call it.

If you have ruled out the battery by temperarally putting in a known new one, then I would have to say it is the alram unit immobilizing the starter.
I do not have a clue as how to by pass it on a DII.

I had a coworker whose civic wouldn't start one night after work. Everyone assumed it was the battery(even her boyfriend tried cleaning the posts on the battery and jumpstarting it.) I remembered that she had an alarm. After they spent an hour trying to figure it out and almost about to give up, I looked at the fuse box under the driver's dash and pulled the alarm fuse. It started right. The point I'm trying to make is, could you try and see if there is a fuse that you can pull in the land rover that would reset the alarm?

I will certainly look, Good idea, I need some guidance on which one would be right. Is disco mike out here? I am afraid I need real Land Rover technician advice, even though they told me it was a loose wire.

Hi, I have the same problem but with no functioning key fob, I was using the EKA code to get in and turn off the alarm but my battery went flat, I charged it up ,disconnected with the doors locked (alarm on) I cannot start or turn off hte alarm now, in the rave workshop manual it says not to disconnect the battery with the alarm on, but not what to do if you did do this. sitting in my driveway now?
