I know there are some people here who aren't intimidated by much and have tackled this entire job by themselves.

I pulled the driveshaft out myself, not a big deal...then I took it to the shop mechanic here at my work. He typically works on domestic vehicles all day long but has no qualms about working on foreign vehicles.

When he heard about that cardon joint, he didn't want to touch it. He hooked me up with a shop that rebuilds driveshafts and had them do it.

Just a heads up...it gave me a different perspective on things because this guy has tackled jobs for me that I wouldn't try doing myself and when he turned this job done...pretty much told me to leave it alone.

I guess the important thing is to know your limitations..

 

I "understand " your view / point. But honestly, it really is not hard to do. I would say its far more brain teasing to say, do a headgasket than the driveshaft.
