It was probably put that way by Road Britanica, the shop it was immediately towed to. I was out of town and had my wife get it towed there as that use to be our shop. I then had it towed home when I got the bad news of lifted sleeves, and just put it in park and took out the key.

Thanks all for the help!

focus on the needing of the new engine. I don't know if it's new or not but if it's used make sure it gets new head gaskets. now that we are sure that the tranny is ok, focus on the trans when the vehicle is running. I have rebuilt more than 100 transmissions, done countless flushes and pan drops and filter changes. On many different vehicles. at no time including the land rover that I own have i ever had a problem. the best way to maintain your trans is to do both a flush and a filter change. The lucas trans fix works the best as a preventative maintence item. I run it in all my vehicles, my boss runs it in his corvette. cybercop, pm me and I can get into more detail about specific things without the input from the peanut gallery. I actually turn wrenches.

He's buying a new cannibal V8. I'm pretty sure he doesn't need to worry about head gaskets.

Yeah, I really didn't appreciate the part where he refers to me as the "Peanut Gallery". He did not even chime in until the original question was already answered and then it was just to $hit talk. I guess my advice is worthless and I shouldn't waste my time.

He bad mouthed the shop that is going to do the inspection on the Transmission and he doesn't even know where he is having the work done. It could be a great shop for all he knows and he saying they won't do a proper inspection right off the bat.

And now with 30 posts (since April 2011) he is already telling people to PM him for advice and not listen to the other members. How did we ever survive without you great Rover Yoda?

You two must be looking at that little piece between your legs.

lamest comeback ever. all I have to do is let you type. This from the guy who said no worries about head gaskets with a cannibal engine. now where I come from that means a junk yard engine. but hey, now worries about head gaskets there. now we let you guys have some time to respond and all we got was this. now I have a life so maybe in a couple days I will see something better that i can respond to. obviously you cant say anything tech wise so this should be fun.

You are a complete idiot. A Cannibal V8 is a complete professionally rebuilt $5,000+ engine. So yeah, he doesn't need to worry about the head gasket. How's that for some tech information? CannibalV8 Engines

It has nothing to do with a junk yard you freaking retard. Now I'll give you some time to let the fact that you don't know $hit sink in. Your next response should be interesting. I'll see you in a few days, I have no life and I'm always on here.
