I just bought new tires for my Disco Series 2. I dont even have 20 miles on them

The rest of the truck just crapped the bed and will be traded in this week. (needs over $6k of work and I'm tired of being bled by this rig)

I have a friend with a Series 1.

Will my wheels fit/work on his rover?

Mine are 255/65/R16

The wheels will not work.
The tires may if he has a lift, but there are
not the best size for a Disco I.

 

wheels will not work because the two have different bolt patterns but the tires will work. no lift needed.

 

To bad.... Anyone near southern Maine want to trade their tired tires for these?

 

What is the best size for a Disco I? I have the 235/65-16's that came on it when I got it. But when I look at the Discount tire web site it tells me the stock size is 255/65-16.

 

I'm running 245/75/16 thats a 31" tall tire and its a 10ply
tire it will fit with no lift, I did trim the inside rear wheel well
about 1/2" just to make sure.

 

I like the 245's, but part of the decision needs to be based on the type of driving you are doing.
