well in my case...I have to carry very expensive camera equiptment on location, might not be a bad idea so some eyes cannot see in the back.

I also think really dark tint looks better!

Believe it or not,that Discovery is factory spec.Land Rover builds them that way with the window blanks uncut in order to furnish the commercial market in Europe. Vans are considered commercial vehicles and are taxed differently,(cheaper)so Landrover decided to offer a van version of the Discovery in order to enter this market.

That is correct and also notice no rear door, glass or handle...being from england i know these are used by vets and farmers....but kind of unusual if you havent seen them before...
