Hey there does anyone know of a utility van rack system that would work on a D2? Or would something like this work? http://www.discount-trailers.com/van_bar_carrier.htm ? I just need the bars for a canoe? Is anyone doing this?

 

I actually thought about it for my D1. I saw some at an auction, but when I tried to mount them, the bars were not high enough to clear the roof. They were real close in the front, but nowhere near tall enough to clear the rear. Would not have even come colse in the front if I had sunroofs.

 

Look at the thule super high foot gutter clamps (or some such). I have them on my DII and they have preformed well.
