I have concern over the whining my rover makes. Take a listen and let me know what you think. Low transmission fluid. power streering pump?

Could be your alternator too. Sometimes they whine when they are being strained. The one on my Pontiac sounded very similar to that right before it failed.

Before we guess everything on the truck, tell us what you have checked, in detail.

If you have not checked anything, pull your belt and check each pulley for starters.

Or tell people you have a supercharger.
