Been noticing the variety of discos for sale are getting very rare. Currently on kijiji in all of Ontario there are 3-4 choices and not good ones

Show what’s available in your local area. And name your location

Not just Ontario. Used Discos at reasonable prices based on condition are getting rarer. Lots of trucks with mid 150's NEEDING work that people think are worth $4-5000. I could be wrong, but I would think that $7k fully sorted trucks are better or trucks needing complete rebuilds at $1500 are better.

On a used LR I never honestly pay attention to the mileage on the Odometer. It's all about how it's been maintained and the condition of it.

I said it many many years ago, but the RRC was first to vanish. The D1 is pretty much in same boat as the RRC, and the D2 is also becoming hard to find. People have started to grab them up due to the classic styling, easy to work on, and the great ride and awesome off road capabilities. I honestly haven't seen a decent D2 pop up on CL or Facebook Marketplace in a pretty good while. I've seen several fixer uppers, and even those they were asking 8500.00 for! With nasty interiors and exteriors or body damage!

My inlaw always refers to my LR Collection as it looks like a car lot around here...... She is just clueless and when she trades in her 2016 Ford Explorer which is already getting pretty beat up I'll still be cruising around in my classic LR's... Her car is just a throw away with no class to it at all lol. If I had a big enough enclosed shop then I'd instantly be called a LR Collector, but to my mother in law if I have 5 LR's parked nicely in my driveway/carport/shop = Car Lot lol gotta love ya some good old inlaws....

Default My two cents

I locally traded my 2001 that had suffered some “mild” issues to Extinct, in return for one of his daily drivers and cash (mine). I had priced mine a bit higher due to suspension mods and decent upkeep but have come to realize that this is of limited resale value unless vehicle is top notch. Also came to realize that unless you are willing and able to do maintenance yourself, these projects are likely a losing proposition monetarily. You gotta love them, I suppose.

Love the new truck, and recommend you strongly consider anything that Extinct posts for sale. He’s a true believer. For my part, I’ve already started with the suspension and steering mods (totally unnecessary, I might add), for which I’m certain I’ll never recoup the costs...

good luck on the new ride

all of the d2 in my area are still for sale. Not much interest around here or people just low ball. People are also scared of their reputation
no d1 to speak of for sale. And in 5-10 years it’s going to get worse

They have been falling off for years and will continue to do so. Grab'em while you can. I'd have a field of them if I had the money.
