Default Discount on RockAuto Parts!

Below is an e-mail I received from RockAuto Parts after I ordered some parts from them for the Rover...it says to share the code with friends...so here it is:

Thank you for being a www.RockAuto.com customer! To show our appreciation, we have a special discount for you.

Your discount code is:

28841031975855

Using Your Discount Code
Enter the code above in the "How did you hear about us" line of the shopping cart. If you are using our traditional HTML catalog, please click the "Apply" button to the right of the field. Your discount will automatically appear, subtracted from your order total.

Please note: We sometimes get calls from people who put the word "discount" in front of their code and do not get the discount. Please enter ONLY the discount code, no other words or numbers.

The discount takes 5% off our already-low prices. There's no limit on order size or the number of orders. Use the code for your next order, and share the code with friends, neighbors, relatives, the guy at the corner garage--anyone you know who works on cars or trucks.

This discount code expires on May 2, 2010; so don't wait!

And its got a nice long time frame. Not one of those high pressure 24-48 hour deals.

I'll most likely be making use of that promo code.

I noticed a while back they have a really, really cheap price on the rotoflex for the D2, like $30 or so. Does anybody know if this is any good?

I bought my crankshaft position sensor and stepper motor online as well as some other parts from them. Parts were very inexpensive, but not genuine, but still work great. My only problem about rockauto was it took twice as long to get a part when they shipped it fedex versus postal service delivery, life goes on haha.

I ordered a stepper motor, which was an excellent deal, and a u-joint. They sent me the wrong u-joint. Never bothered returning it, as shipping to and from would cost more than I spent on the one at Autozone I bought. Its a gamble at best ordering from them.

Well, like I said in the other post I think, the true test of a company is how they deal with it when the screw-up is on their end (or their vendor's end).

I ordered and installed ignition coils from them for my Nissan Maxima....I "saved" over $100 compared to my other options. I had to replace the coils again 15K later so I didn't end up "saving" any money....Made in China...go figure

That being said, I just ordered some Platinum +4's with that discount Hopefully they can't screw those up. Thanks mwindth!
