Default Discoveries in the garage

I didn't have much luck with my stock suspension question, but I realized that maybe there's a better question I can be asking:

I have a standard-issue tract home w/garage. I noticed that my stock Discovery ladder rails have maybe an inch or so clearance from the roof of the garage door, but it's difficult to tell for sure. For those folks that have suspension lifts and larger tires, what combinations are you running that still enables you to fit in your garage?

I recognize that all "standard-issue tract home garages" aren't going to be the same size, but I figure there's probably some commonality.

Thanks!

If you put a new suspension on your truck, even a standard duty one, you will no longer fit in the garage.
If you put on a 2" lift you better check the height of the parking ramp before you pull in.

My stock Disco fits in my garage, and I have calculated I can go with 245/75/16 tires and still fit. Were I to add a lift, I would have to be like my neighbors and park in the driveway (they all have crap stored in the garage).

With resetting the closing angle on my garage door opener, I can fit my 99 with a near 3" lift and s65's into what I believe is a standard height garage. Might want to reset your opener to pull the door up higher.

I have a 2" OME lift on my 01 with 265 75 16 Dueler Revo tires, and I just fit into my garage. 7' door opening. You might want to actually measure your door height so all of these replies are relevant.

I am in the process of building a detached garage and going with 9' doors so I can put the basket back on top of the D2, and still fit it in the garage!

I can just barely fit in my garage with my lift and tires but with the roof rack now it is a definite no no. But I always take really good care of my paint so I don't worry too much about it.

Fantastic - thanks guys! I'll check out the garage tonight w/ a tape measurer. Sounds like I might have a few more options than I thought.

Thanks again,

If you want help with resetting the garage door motor assembly to give you more room, send me your number and I'll walk you thru what I did to get my truck in, snug, but it works.
