Default Discovery 1995 diesel

My Disco 95 is having a strange behaviour...sometimes the engine stops, like there is no fuel feeding. The car is running normally on the road and suddenly is like I switch the engine off. The car stops and I have to turn off and then on again the key: then it will start normally.
Also sometimes it does not start at the first crank, but only after several tries. Then I try to switch off and on again and maybe for ten times it does not happen...then suddenly does not start again.

I aready replaced:
Battery
Starter motor and solenoid
Fuel pump
fuel valve

Anybody can help...it is very dangerous when you are on a highway and your car suddenly stops...
Thanks

I'm driving the same model. I haven't had that problem, but I have noticed that the day AFTER some highway miles it seems to run rough.

I would have said the fuel shut off valve, but I am assuming by fuel valve that,s what you mean. So the only other thing it might be is the ignition switch, or wire there off. You could try a test. What you need it a wire from the hot side of the battery to the valve with a switch in the cab, so that you can have it turned off, and the next it happens, you just turn on the switch on, and if she fires up you then know what to look for. I have a switch on my TDI 90, but I use it, to switch OFF the ignition wire,so that no one can start it unless they can find the switch. If they can even guess that it exists.
Cheers Dennis.
