Hi out there.
Looking at a 1997 Landrover Turbo diesel (197000kms).
It has some slight noise when changing between 3rd/5th and 4th/5th.
Can somebody please advise me on the gravity of this problem and if the vehicle would still run happily for anothr 200000kms as such? Is the repair problematic?
Also, please advise other things to look ouy for on this vehicle.

I am assuming that this truck has a manual transmission.
First check the fluid level. Then the shift linkage. If it still does it it is either the clutch or most likely the sycronizers.
Odds are the transmission will not last another 200,000kms like that.
