well premium thing not a crazy big issue(although you wouldnt ever catch me putting anything below 93 in mine). With that said, I owned a 97 a while back with 160k. It had hardly any compression left when I was done with it, and I took great care of it, oil changed every 3000, plugs changed reg. It is very important to know what you are buying, I had no clue it would be that bad just because of the mileage, but it was. As for the asking price not bad, even if you gotta pay 2000, but if you get your low ball price in, more power to ya.
If it is running hot, I would say the radiator is getting clogged. Most common reason for this. You will probably be looking at the water pump, hoses, belt, tensioner as well if you don't want to worry about it anymore. Look for the 60K service on here and plan on doing that along with plugs and wires (8MM only). $3500 is average for a good one. The fading paint is common, and can be re-sprayed for under $500. I did mine myself in the garage..
I would say premium is a big issue. If not used, it will carbon up your heads and cause valve failure. Not to mention it will kill your performance and MPG. If the truck is decent, $1200 would be a good price. $2K is good if you can work on it yourself..
