i drive an 03 , in between meticulous maintenance i like to use my rover for everything. i will be getting a baja rack or waiting for a new sd rack (fingers crossed on that ) but i like the idea of a front cage for cooler/ rod holder .. anyone ever done it ? the front bumper is stock and being under it enough i know the frame rails extend and the stock bumper mounts to it

 

I would not add that kind of weight off the front of your truck. think about it. an additional 100 lbs levered what almost 2 ft in front. you hit a bump. the steering bounces now you have that weight out front adding additional leverage to the steering. you would be bouncing even more and doing damage. Personally adding that kind of weight front or back is just not smart. Oh and you would need heavy duty springs. to start with.
