I have an 03 Discovery 2 that I can not keep running after recently putting a lot of work into. I can get it to fire up, but it will run for anywhere from 5-20 seconds (rather roughly I might add) before completely cutting out. It is getting fuel, as shown by fuel pressure tester and the fact that I can give it gas when started. Now, I just replaced the head gaskets and water pump, so this is after putting everything together, and I am confident that everything is put back together correctly. I have also replaced the CPS, as this was my initial thought but that does not seem to do the trick either. Every thread that talks about similar issues that I read leads to a dead end or somebody replacing the CPS as the fix, so I am starting a new one to see if anyone can offer any advice.

 

Do you have any codes? Rough running then dying could be because your plugs/coils were miswired. Have you double-checked?

 

Just pulled the codes p1884 and p1606 which don't appear to have very direct interpretations according to my research
