I'm a new user and not a Land Rover expert. My son-in-law always serviced mine but tragically he died of a coronary aged 39 last November. I have a 20 year old Discovery 2 diesel reg RP02JLP and I cannot locate the thermostat. I visited various youtube demos but they were all using the Vernet thermostat or changing to inline thermostats. I have searched & searched in vain and it is definitely not a Vernet thermostat nor can I find where there might be an inline thermostat.. Help greatly appreciated, please. Thanks a lot in advance. It's connected to the lower radiator hose that exits the radiator on the side opposite where the upper radiator hose connects.

 

Thanks very much, Min01 but I've searched from underneath and from above many times now but can't see anything that looks like it might be the Vernet plastic type nor a metal type housing, completely baffled. All the best, I can't figure out what the fat rubber hose does in the pic showing the battery compartment nor where it goes Colin

 

Download the rave manual and there is an image in there showing the location.
