Discovery Selection or Which one??
Well, I would like to know what repairs are common on these v 8s? Valves, cooling systems? I need help deciding what year, I like 98 to 2003. I work on BMW and have for 16 years, so Im use to the resealing and coolant leaks. Are special tools needed for suspension work? Thanks

98 and the first half 99 were still the Disco I's while midway through 99 the Disco II's came out.
One thing to be aware of, there is a VIN number range on 2003 models that have a defect that will cause the oil pump to fail and ultimately engine failure.
That being said, they're a lot like a good looking woman. Everyone's jealous she's yours, you feel great when everything is going right, you're pissed when it's not, but you know it's the price you have to pay.
