My extended warranty has expired so work at the dealership is no longer coveredand I'm not very happy with the non-dealer place I've been going to either. I'm wondering if anyone in the Los Angeles area (preferably near the beach cities, Redondo, Hermosa, Manhattan, Torrance, etc) has found a good service spot.
I was just quoted a price of over 2000 dollars for a head gasket replacement. !!!!

 

First of all, find a mechanic that will keep his prices at about $1400, less any head work, while using Rover parts.
Second, go to, http://www.sclr.org/ join up and post your question there. I have been a memeber for years and those guys, besides being fun to wheel with, can really point you to the better shops in your area.
