Default Diso 1 seats

Hello,

I have been looking at some used seats for my '96 Disco 1. I found a decent looking leather replacement seat at a reasonable price, but the seller thinks it will only fit 97,98 & 99 model years. From the picture (seat only, no mounting rails, etc.) it looks like an exact match to what I have in my 96.

Does anyone know for sure? Was there something special about the 96 seats? Cosmetically, it looks the same. I would hate to pay to ship it to find out the mounting holes are off by 1/2 inch, etc.

Did anything change on the seats for the Disco 1?

Thanks!

what is wrong with your seat though? they sell some pretty good dye products out there that people on this forum have had AWESOME success with. search "2 tone seat" or "two tone seat"

The leather is torn/separated on the seat bottom, so looking for a replacement seat or covers or seat skins.

i can't see how purchasing a seat and shipping it would be worth it on such an old rig. i would try and get seats locally from a pick and pull so you don't have to pay shipping costs, or just get covers.

I have been looking to replace my seat covers and finally settled on this company listed below.....check out their site....go to the Land Rover "gallery" ....no it's not leather, but it's not cracked and ripped either like what I have now. They will send you color swatches if you want.

Ed,

The place pulling the parts is about 30 miles away. So, no shipping. I will also get the chance to eye other pulls.

I didn't want to make the trip if the seats wouldn't fit.
