Default DIY oil change ?

Its time to change my oil...

is changing the oil on a 2003 Discovery just like changing the oil on any conventional vehicle? I mean, unscrew the oil plug, drain, unscrew filter, drain and then reinstall plug and filter and then pour in 6 Qts and done? or is there more to it?

TIA

I have the internal oil filter on the Sprinter TD5.
But on a Disco you can change the oil and filter without putting the truck in the air.
