I bought a new one for $345.00 shipped from DriveShaft Power Inc DriveShaft Power Inc. Home 561.433.1200. Its a lot beefier than the factory one and is greasable. Granted its a little costly but it bolted right in.

Thanks for the post. #345 is pretty stiff, I'll talk to my local driveline shop, see if they have LRitis...Meantime, I'll pull mine, inspect and replace or lube and install...Heads come off today...

Thumbs up

Thanks for the tip Savannah Buzz,
What kinda surprises me is that generally well before a u-joint goes catastrophic, it's been cklankin' for quite awhile...And, virtually all car manufactureers at this point use serviceless u-joints...DEQ got tired of grease getting flipped EVERYWHERE...
In any case, my heads are off, not all that difficult. It did NOT require a crows foot to remove the SAI nuts, even though on the driver's side they were twisting the adapters...An 18 mm open end and a cresent wrench worked just fine, both sides. Admitedly, I did the driver's side, the froze side, after all the accessories were out of the way...
Also, the manual says to be VERY careful removing the adapters...loosen, thighten, loosen, tighten...mine weren't gauled a bit...but then, looks like this ain't their forst rodeo...anti-seize on them both. Once broke loose, they came out by hand.
Back to the heads...I saw somewhere that someone here was offering rebuilt ones for $375...Aim me at them, if you get a chance.
Thanks
PS re: troublr w/ removing the O2 sensor...last guy that tried lost it & tore out the leads...I'm thinkin' it will be much more accessible w/ the heads off...So, in that list of things to replece during the head gasket event...that would be a good thing to ad to the list...
Thanks again
