Default Do I have an oddball radio that is impossible to remove?

Help needed, I've read the rave workshop manual on how to remove the radio on my 2003 disco only thing is my radio doesn't look like the one in the manual or the ones posted in the forums!
Instead of 4 holes or two slots its just got two holes and regardless of what I do it just doesn't seem to want to budge.
I tried coat hangers and then decided they probably weren't strong enough so moved onto welding rods which seem exactly the right size but the thing still won't budge and after about an hour of messing with it I was about ready to go get the hammer!
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated before I demolish my dashboard

Pete

That's not an 03 radio.

The TREK versions had a stereo that looked like that, does it say Land Rover on it somewhere?

That looks sorta like a D1 radio with the 2.5mm allens. Anyway to get a better pic, without the tool?

Default Some more pictures

Ok so it seems i might have a bit of an oddball or hopefully a Trek version although it's not a trek version disco. It says land rover on it but clearly isn't normal. I've taken a few pics which are a little clearer now i'm a little less frustrated with it and it's daylight.

When I put the rods into the wholes it just seems to go to a solid metal stop, it doesn't even feel like I'm close to a lever or anything inside the mechanism.

Any thoughts much appreciated

Pete

That totally looks like a TREK stereo.
Take the truck to Best Buy and have them remove it for you.

I'm guessing they have different radios in Qatar.

Shine a flashlight into the holes, you put in an allen head wrench in there half the size of the holes and turn clockwise couple times.
