I have a Rover Japan Discovery series II, 1999. It has 16 inch wheels. I was wondering,.... is the tire always as wide as the wheel. I see a lot of cars in Japan with wheels that seem to be too wide for the tires they are on. Is that even posible? Can you strech the tires an inch or so?
Anyway the main question is.....
Does anyone know if the wheels are the 16x7 or 16x8?

My car is at the dealer with a case of the three amigos, so I can't measure right now.

 

SHould be stamped on the lip of the wheel. Depends on what kind of wheels you have, though...

 

Yeah it should be on the backside if it's not on the front?

Don't let the dealer throw lots of parts at your truck, ask for the fault code numbers and ask to have the lights reset. Usually the lights won't come back on, if they do then you start talking about replacing parts.
