Default Does my '03 D2 S have heated seat elements?

I understand that some, if not all, D2s already have heated seat elements and wiring, and you simply need the switches to activate them.

I've seen some people who say that this is only true if you have leather seats a la SE and HSE, and some people who say that this is true for all D2s including the entry-level models like my '03 S.

Can anyone confirm which of the above statements is true? Do some D2s already have the elements, or do all D2s have the elements?

If it is the latter, I see a trip to the Pick N Pull in my future.

Thanks!

My 03 S without leather does NOT have the elements. If I look under the seat to the back I can see the plug hanging down where one of them would have been plugged in. Now some S models may have been ordered with cold weather package, like if they are form Canada or something, and they can have heaters, but they'd already have the switches too.

I did grab a set of switch for my 99 though... and as soon as I replace the very scary looking driver's seat, I'll probably enable the heaters on it.

All LEATHER seats should have pads and all are wired for them. If you have leather seats but no switches just add and you'll be set. I'm still investigating mine as The pleather and leather look too similar to tell for me.

Thanks for all the responses. I'll take a look and see if I can see the plug for the heater element either connected or dangling down under the seat.

Either way, it sounds like the non-leather equipped models probably don't have them.
