doing coolant swap. gotta ?
doing my coolant and t-stat this week finally.
question is this.
i have a gal of dexcool concentrate and 2 gallons of green 50/50 mix.
dexcool is in the rig now. whats the best way to do a total swap of the dex to green? i dont have a hose near my garage but have a shop sink with water jugs.
do i need to block drain and where are they located? or do i drain the radiator from the bottom hose, change the t-stat. replace the hoses, then refill with water and run and drain again. then replace with green?
i did a search but there are a zillion threads with coolant in the subject line.
btw the discovery has got to have the most plumbing under the hood i have ever seen for water haha.

Well the best way is to drain it, fill with water, turn on the heater, idle until up to temp, let cool for 15 min or so, drain, repeat until nothing but clean water comes out.
After the final drain I always let it sit for several hours to let whatever wants to drip out drip out.
Then put it all back together and refill, bleed the system and then check the level every morning for the next 2-3 mornings after driving it.
