Oh Boy DO I FEEL DUMB!!


I spent three days trying to remove the lower ball joint. Look carefully at the pics below and tell me what I was doing wrong. When I finally figured it out the ball joint came out like butter ......

Well, at least the other side will be a piece of cake.

 

Pushing against the bottom of the lower ball joint/not using a "socket" large enough for the ball joint to push through?

 

Ding Ding Ding... Winner Winner Chicken Diner !!

Ugh, I made the mistake of DIYing this....I got it done but damn....never again. The key here is Heat, Beating with a hammer, Press, repeat. If you do not do all three, it will not come out.
As far as install, Freezer, Heat and take your time aligning your press.

Careful not to push against the arms, they will bend if you are cranking on the press.

 

I finally got all 4 out. Heat press repeat.
