The previous owner of mine ran it without coolant because she wanted a different vehicle. Yep....awesome. Anywho, my MAF was toast after the engine melted together. The shop told me that when the engine seizes, that hot air inside that sweltering engine goes in what direction? Up, so that would mean the hot air is "back washing" into intake (expecially if it's super hot", and it's hitting what? That's right....the MAF. Get that maf hot enough and it won't read right anymore. I dunno if what he said was true or not, but it seemed to make sense. If the connections are good, and you're still having problems, I'd try out a new MAF, fixed mine right up!
