Well here you go, on my latest "what can I find for my D1" adventure I found this beauty. Forget the supercharger or the chrome door handles form earlier! Now is the new... chip? Let the hating and arguing on how I "should have gotten a jeep" begin

LAND ROVER DISCOVERY GF Peformance Chip

Gonna have to call snake oil on that one. Did you read how to install it? You connect the "chip" to the IAT sensor. Sounds like a resistor mod where you fool the engine into thinking the incoming air is warmer than it is, making the truck run lean..

I called them 3 different times for information, said they would send it and didn't, called back and got hung up on 2 times, sent a letter and never heard back.
At least it is safe to safe their customer service, or lack there of, stinks.

i love how stupid generic the website is.

is your LAND ROVER DISCOVERY slow? do you wish your LAND ROVER DISCOVERY was faster? This chip is custom made to fit just your vehicle a LAND ROVER DISCOVERY. While some LAND ROVER DISCOVERY on the road are getting up there in miles your LAND ROVER DISCOVERY can feel like new again!

And then got confused and poured it on the outside instead of the inside!

Actually it would be useful to have a chip/sensor that tells you when the oil is DIRTY, not 3k, 5k, or x miles. Then for added value, goes into limp mode until you change it damnit!

My Mercedes has an oil level float switch, get a quart low and an idiot light comes on. Eventually we will get so sophisticated that the car will wifi and email you to "take me to the shop - please!"

But Rover spent all the money on the alarm immobilization and we don't have enough power left for an oil PSI gauge.
