door lock actuator madness
Thanks all for the help with my distributor, works great now.On toanother pickle:
As a '95 D1 with 140K on it, expecting the door locks to still work was a bit much, I guess. So I got a generic kit with new actuators and control unit. Supposedly, you just hookthe new control unitup to the two lock/unlock leads for the drivers door and it will work. But after hooking it up properly, it will either only lock, or if I reverse the wires, unlock. This is with the stock driver door lock actuator removed. Is a relay stuck somewhere? Or is the control unit toast? Or maybe by taking the drivers door actuator out of the circuit, there is no polarity switching? So confused.....
