Default Door Locking Issue

Just purchased a 2000 Discovery. The remote doesn't work very well on unlocking and locking all the doors. The actual button that unlocks the doors on the dashboard locks and unlocks the vehicle if you press it a few times after starting up. Any ideas?

Need more info on the problem please.
Do the locks not move? Go down and then back up? What?

They are going up and down - but the passenger door isn't playing ball at all unless it's manually pushed down, then opened via pulling the door handle.

Thats a easy one, your power door lock actuator is bad. No big deal, very common on all Rovers.
