Hey guys, when I lock the car with the keyless remote, several of the doors can still be opened? Also when unlocking with the keyless remotethe passenger door will not unlock? What's going on in there and is it an easy DIY fix? If so can anyone give me any inout on how to do it.

 

Which doors won't lock or unlock, are they same doors, most likely you have a couple of bad door lock actuators.

 

Hey Bud, the passenger front will not lock or unlock via the keyless remote it has to be done by hand. The rear passenger and drivers side will unlock via the keyless remote butthey will not lock. Is this something that's a DYI fix?

 

You need new door lock actuators. www.roverlandparts.com for used ones.
www.atlanticbritsih.com for new ones. Go with the used ones.
Yes it is a DIY repair. You need toremove the door panel to do it. The actuators can be rebuilt with a DC motor from Radio Shack. There is a write up on how to replace them, just do a search on this forum to find it.
