Default Double din in the Disco 2 I know it's been done

I'm sick of my single din flip up radio with nav and want to squeeze a 2 din radio in there...do I have to tweak the dash myself or is there somewhere I can buy one that had been pre made? If anyone can/knows how to do this I will pay you money to do this for me.

You're right, it has been done, but it was done by someone with some serious fabrications skills and some serious talent. I have seen pictures on either here or Land Rovers Only of the guy's truck, and it looked great. The issue I believe is that you have to move the climate controls down in the dash and cut and remold the center dash fascia.

Check here: Double DIN navigation radio in my D2 - Land Rover Forums : Land Rover and Range Rover Forum and here: Double Din Dash Rebuild, Land Rover Discovery - DIYMA Car Audio Forum

That should keep you happy with a single DIN setup. I've done some reworking of the dash to mold in some accessories and on D2's it's not so bad because you can finish it off with black bedliner from a spray can. The texture of the finish means you don't have to do as nice a job with your final sanding. But this is a pretty major undertaking. You will be relocating factory controls so you will be extending wiring harnesses and carefully planning their placement so that all of the housings, plugs and wiring can fit. All while your vehicle is in pieces so when you need to use it you will be adjusting your heat with two hands.
