I really like the ARB double jerry can holder. I'm concerned it won't mount well to my Safety Devices roof rack. Right now, the rack is missing a couple of pieces of flooring so that may be redone soon. The front of the rack where I plan to place the jerry can holder has flooring that is about 1/2" plastic. I can cut where I need to but will it securely attach to the round supports of the rack? I think that is different than the rack it was designed for. Thanks.

Anytime you are buying aftermarket parts, unless from same manufacturer or just dumb luck, it is normally necessary to modify components. Not that unusual, for them to not be a direct fit.

 

Totally agree. I know I have had to fiddle with about everything that didn't come from the same brand. My fuel can mounts have been on 3 different racks and only 1 time did it fit right up ( same brand can holder same brand rack)
