Default Downstream passenger O2 sensor wire routing

Howdy folks,

I am replacing my cat. As I disconnected O2 sensors, I noticed that the downstream passenger O2 sensor wires were all messed up. I did not look good to me because the wire wrapped around some other wires on top of the frame. Seemed the intent was to prevent the wire from touching the front shaft. I may be totally wrong on this, but would love to see pics of proper sensor wire routing for the downstream passenger sensor.

Thank you!

The downstream O2s on my '99 have never been touched in the 20+ years I've owned the truck, so I presume everything is original.

Since you mentioned the front driveshaft, I presume you're focused on the wiring on the right-hand side of the truck.

I crawled under my truck tonight to try to take pictures, but access is limited to me going in from the drivers side, so it was tough to get over to the passenger side to get really good pics.

I don't see anything zip tied. The cable just runs up from the sensor to the harness-side connector as (sorta) pictured.

The left-hand (drivers side) is a different story. It's interestingly routed through the transmission mount, and continues up to the harness-side connector.

Thank you, @mln01 - the wiring makes sense. The previous owner replaced the sensors and the wiring looked different from yours. I will re-wire to match yours.
