Tape a leafblower to the top hose.

Haha, no, that's what I did. Got a 230mph blower at menards for $40, take the thermostat out and blow.

You can try the block drains, but lots of posts advise against that.

HUH ? I thought about the reverse shop vacuum blower. Or just vacuuming out but 140 MPH that may be a bit excessive
I will never pull block drains heard too many bad stories about it. Besides I'm way too lazy for that.
But air from a blower would get the DEX out of the radiator the heater core and and the block then flush a few gallons of water through it . ??? may try.

I got a 2-speed, 160mph or 230mph.

When I blew out the flush, I just used the low setting. When I blew out the irontite sealer I had to make sure it was all out, so I did the low blow followed by about 5sec of high speed.

I haven't run it much, but it runs fine so far.

A shop vac hose on the output side works. I did just that. I went for the double distilled flush followed by blowing it out with a shop vac then added 50/50 mix. I also added about 1/2 gallon of full strength to dilute the remaining water. I checked the mix when I was done and I'm still a little too heavy on the coolant so I'll need to drain the reservoir and add water until I get to the right ratio. That's a little more of a concern now that it is finally warming up here.

Well I went with the blower approach and blew out what I could. I definitely didn't buy the 50/50 stuff. I just diluted down a couple gallons before I put it in. With the new thermostat and after the flush, it's running much cooler.

After reading and searching the forum, I went with the Home Depot garden hose to flush out my heater. 25 minutes and it's now to warm inside the Disco. After driving around MA with no heat, I'm not complaining. Thanks to all.

If I dump a bunch in the driveway isn't that toxic to animals and stains pavement? Should I use a hose to flush the radiator and the block ? I have looked on forums and you tube and saw many ways to do it. If i just drain it it makes a mess but if I flush a bunch of gallons it will really make a mess. Should I dispose at parts store?
Confused
Antifreeze is highly toxic to animals and humans. Animals are attracted to it and drink it for some strange reason which causes kidney failure, a very unpleasant way to go. Also can be ingested via the skin by humans. Treat with care as the end result is the same.

Always wear plastic chemical handling gloves and eye protection and if you get it on your skin wash off immediately.
