I am doing a semi restoration on my DII. It’s going of to paint soon and I’ve been trying to find alternatives sourcing the long side pieces in a junkyard or spending outrageous $ on new ones which are extremely difficult to find.

So has anyone found alternatives or replaced the long side pieces with other materials?
