Everyone else is too nice. Make sure you have greasable bearings and grease them. If you do that you will not have any problems. The whole a/c draining heat exchange idea is bull****. Whoever told you that appreciates the extra money you paid them for the unnecessary work. As far as I'm concerned you sound like a idiot.

If it was just AC water drain on it, then how would the unit stand up to driving in the rain, splashing in a cool mountain stream, etc.?

That's what I'm saying! Lol. Sometimes an idea gets past around long enough that people without any experience or common sense begin to repeat it and actually post the idea as an answer to a problem.

Lack of maintenance, lack of common sense, and lack of folding money are somehow related.... as is good judgement, which comes from experience, which comes from bad judgement....

But the reroute AC drain has a plus for not keeping the XYZ switch wet.....

I am a idiot.... as well as you..... owning a Land Rover for one labels anyone a idiot if you cry when the pile breaks...Most people who can "afford" to buy one don't cry...they just take it to the dealer and get it taken care of...They dont ask how much it cost's..... Most people on the forum here Really cant afford to keep these running like new so hence... the crying and the never ending search of trying to fix something that ... well i don't need to tell you....LOL
