Thanks for the comments.
If you have an Advance Auto parts store near you get these:

Buy Moog U Joint 344 at Advance Auto Parts

They are American made where as Pep Boys/Autozone sell Chinese made crap.

I wonder if those are reboxed Precision. They are the same PN.

Default I dodged a bullet today.

I got my u joints in and took them and the drivelines to my mechanic to have them installed My mechanic (a friend) called a bit later to let me know that the one eyelet on the slip joint was cracked. I found a new one that will be here tomorrow but with that cracked I really dodge a bullet. If that would have failed I would have been in big trouble. I guess sometimes it's better to be lucky than good.

What about your centering ball, I hope you plan on replacing that also or the rebuild will fail very quickly.

When I rebuilt my prop shaft the U-joint I pulled out of the diff side was COMPLETELY dry and it was so dry that when I pulled off one of the ends of the U-Joint the pin rollers fell out. On closer inspection they all had surface rust. It's my thinking that had I not rebuilt it when I did, I'd have ended up on the side of the road with a prop shaft through my trans around this time. I'll post pictures when I get a chance.

I rebuilt my prop shaft with 84348 miles on the vehicle so I was right in the failure zone.

I think they might be,

Also thanks Disco Mike for telling me the importance of changing the prop shaft when I first posted, I'd be up ****s creek right now otherwise.

Default Centering ball

Yes I did the centering ball as well. I'm smart enough to know that I'm clueless so when the experts say do something, I do it.
Thanks to all.

Never said you were clueless, I just wanted to make sure you changed it cause people like to cut corners and in doing so leave off the more expensive parts cause they don't know better.
So now that you have rebuilt yours, make sure to grease it at least twice a year and don't for get to grease the 2 slip shafts also so they don't dry out and fail.

The lube interval for u-joints for normal use is every 5,000 miles or 3 months, whichever comes first. More often if you off-road, particularly in wet or sandy areas.
