Tommy,
You were very low on trans fluid.
You do have a leak somewhere. May not be a fast leak - but a leak none the less.
You are most likely OK to drive now with a transmission full of fluid.
Have it at.

Hi all, Just to let you know, I have the front propshaft and serviced the gearbox and she now drives like new

fitted a new fron propshaft sorry.
